Christmas in July

If your new to this idea “Christmas in July” is when we in Australia take advantage of the colder winter months (July and August) and host a party or event themed around Christmas. From a traditional Christmas dinner with a turkey and all the trimmings to a winter wonderland themed event. We get a chance to experience the festive season twice! If your planning a winter party I’ve a few simple decorating  ideas that can set the scene.

Spray twigs in bronze metallic paint and run fairy lights through the branches. Earthy tones like bronze look good with the addition of warm white fairy lights.

Dress up a chandelier or candelabra with beads and garland. A change in scale will add interest.

Battery operated candles are perfect for any table setting but they can add a welcoming glow to any entrance space, hallway or even a staircase.

Fill glass bowls  with battery lights this makes an easy centrepiece but try hanging them in a group for a more dramatic effect.
