Dried flowers have never much appealed to me. Fusty arrangements in shades of brown and dust collectors to boot. Well, that was the 70s! Natural products can be used to great effect as you see in these amazing examples. Don’t stop with pinecones why not try artichokes, seed pods or even dried fruits. As long as you select visually interesting shapes (free of creepy crawlies) you can create a unique piece.
Miss Haberdash Hint:
It’s easy to revive a tired arrangement. With only spray paint and glitter you can dip, roll, or paint pinecones, seed pods etc. then seal with a diluted layer of PVA glue or even a spray varnish. Not confident with your colour choice then go with a metallic, like gold, silver or copper, it never fails.
